I once tutored a watercolour workshop in Tuscany, Italy. One day we came across this peaceful village Monte Dei Bianchi, from which you could see parts of the Apuan Alps. Two elderly people were holding a conversation in the Via Piave. This scene drove me to a composition with bright sun, shining on flowers put on each step. You could smell the purity of the air and the quietness of the area, when its only 400 meters above the sealevel.
