there was a period (2006) where I became interested in these older images because of their specific atmosphere. The cattle markets go back to the 13th century, but could of course only be portrayed after the invention of photography (1839). I gathered all of these paintngs in a serie of Sepia watercolours (“the Sepia Series”)
