A Moroccan soldier, in his typical military outfit, comes out of the main entrance gate at Aït Ben-Haddou . His day is finished, the sun is burning and he is tired. I painted this because the scene radiates all warm hues, contrasted only by the blue skirt. Loved to paint the shadows in warm colours, reflecting the sunlight of one wall to another !
