Bunker along Dieperik, Munte, Flanders

553

During the First World War, a German ring of bunkers was situated around Munte, of which a few remains are still visible today. You can discover several of these bunkers via the Bunker Route. Some appear almost unexpectedly in the middle of a meadow, where they are sometimes still surrounded by a fence. A marvelous composition with graphical impact and hence I made a Pen and Wash of this scene.
