From sketching in a sketchpad towards the end watercolour is a serious leap in the entire watercolour painting process. To illustrate more these initial “subject exploring processes”, there is a form of art that focusses on a refined liner sketch, which is then later on completed with watercolours. This way, the watercolour is supported graphically by a stressed drawing line which can be felt even through the colours. Mostly measures are smaller in these illustrations. Guy’s Penn & Wash-combinations are available in 12 x 16cm., 16 x 24cm. and 24 x 34 cm.
